ABOUT US

We’re on a mission to empower nonprofits to build for the future— through technology as powerful as their missions.

We founded DonorSpring because our experiences fundraising and running a nonprofit left us fed up with the second rate technical solutions available to nonprofits. Solutions that are, in many cases, years behind what is available to for-profit companies.

DonorSpring began with a shared frustration. Our co-founders were both working in nonprofit fundraising-- John, was serving as the President of The Legal Aid Society of New York, while Henry worked as a fundraising consultant for multiple nonprofits. Henry's previous experience in political grassroots fundraising led him to recognize that the organizations they were working with were ideal candidates for grassroots fundraising programs– they had missions with broad appeal and direct impact programming– yet they were at a loss at how to start one.

When they looked into why, they saw that the existing options required huge upfront investment and advanced technical knowledge. They were frustrated knowing that there were so many donors out there that would want to support these organizations if only they knew about them! Unlike political campaigns, most nonprofits lacked the resources and staff support to launch a 360 grassroots campaign in-house. And consultants and bespoke options were expensive and out of reach for most nonprofits.

John and Henry both recognized the pressing need for cost-efficient and time-effective methods to acquire new small-dollar donors. So they created DonorSpring, a platform designed specifically for nonprofits with advanced technology, enabling them to scale their grassroots fundraising efforts with ease and affordability.
